Netflix For Clothes?

(I am away for my wedding and Honeymoon so I am re-posting some of my favorites)

It's been a little since I have talked about one of my favorite things in life right now....Le Tote.  I have been getting this subscription since July 2013 and I am still as in love with it as I was on the first day!  No, I don't get compensated for this post, I just love it so much I want you all to know about it!

What it is:  For $49 a month Le Tote sends you a box that includes 3 clothing items and 2 pieces of jewelry.  You wear these as much as you want and then send them back using a prepaid envelope and then they send you another box. You can keep the items as long as you want or you can send them back as soon as you wear them all.  You get unlimited boxes each month, they just send you a new box once they receive yours back.

Its like Netflix for clothes!!!  It's so awesome!  Once you receive your first box, you can go on to the site and pick out items from their inventory that you love and they will be placed into your "closet." Once it's time to send you a new box, they pick from these items so you will get something you love! If you really love it once it arrives, you can keep it!  They just charge your card the price of the item.

Also, you don't even have to wash the clothes before you send them back.  How great is that?  I had way less laundry this week than normal.

I really love this because it gives me the opportunity to try items of clothing I probably wouldn't buy.  Same with jewelry.  I am not a huge fan of statement necklaces, but I can get one every once in a while through this service to wear.  That way I don't have to fork over a bunch of money for a necklace I would rarely wear.

I also get at least 3 new outfits to wear a week.  How can you not love that?

I did a few posts on it here and here.  Both of these actually include an outfit picture too....which is not the norm for around here!

Here are a bunch of my other favorites that I have worn!

If their prices to keep items weren't so high, I would probably keep several of the items.  I just don't like spending that much on one item though.  Yes, I am cheap and I don't care who knows it!
I have seen lots of things about Stitch Fix and honestly it sounds really cool but I hate that their clothes are so expensive! I like this because instead of 3-5 high priced items a month that I can buy, I can wear 15-20 different pieces and then ship them back for more!

Shoe Stress

Welcome to the newly dubbed “Wedding Wednesday” here at Sleepy Single Girl!

I previously had done all of my beauty box reviews on Wednesdays, but they will now be on Fridays for the next couple of months. I thought since my engagement time before the wedding is pretty darn short (only 96 days to go!) that a wedding post once a week might not be too terrible.  If you hate them, come back in three months and it will all be over!

Today I want to talk about the thing that is giving me the most stress right now…..shoes.
Yes, just shoes.

I found my dress a few weeks ago (more on that later) but I cannot seem to find shoes that match what I want.  I didn’t think what I was looking for was difficult, but apparently it is.

See, I am looking for white, ivory or gold wedges. I really don’t want to wear heels for hours and hours because I know my feet. They hurt after standing up in heels for just a little while! I have wedges that I wear to work though for 8+ hours and I don’t even notice them! Plus, since a lot of the venue is outdoors and rustic, I didn’t think getting a heel caught in the grass or in a hole somewhere would be good.

You guys? I can’t find any nice wedges anywhere!  They all are the espadrille rope type look or cork, which is making me really sad.  Also, I’d like them to be more of a strappy sandal and not a
ridiculously high platform.  Finally….I have wide feet, which makes it hard with certain brands too.

Here is my dream shoe:

Too bad they are a style from a couple years ago and nowhere to be found.

So far I’ve also purchase these pairs and returned them for various (hello crazy bright gold or dark pink not shown in the picture) reasons:

I currently still have these and will use them unless I find something better:

These are also a maybe, but look like normal summer sandals and not wedding like:

Finally, these are the last two on my list that I may try.  I’m heading to a wedding accessory superstore tomorrow and I am crossing my fingers that they have these in stock for me to try on:

I can’t believe this has been so difficult.  I am stressing out about it because my dress is already in and it’s about time to take it to get altered. I want to have the shoes I am going to wear the day of the wedding so they can cut it to the right length. I know I could always switch from heels to flip flops after the ceremony, but why buy expensive shoes for a wedding and then only wear them for 20 minutes?  I mean, I doubt I will get a ton of use on a pair of stark white heels and sparkly after that day!

So…..any suggestions?!?!  Please help me!!!

Best Thing Ever - Le Tote Boxes #2 and #3

Remember when I told you all about Le Tote?!?

Well….I still love it!  Seriously…it’s amazing!
For $49 a month you can get unlimited boxes of clothing shipped to you!  Each box comes with 3 articles of clothing and 2 pieces of jewelry.  You can wear them as much or as little as you want and when you are done, you just ship them back (you don’t even have to wash them) in the prepaid envelope and they send you another box!!  For $5 more you can even get insurance in case you rip or stain something.
It’s totally Netflix for clothes J
What’s awesome is you can even go on their site and pick out things you like, so your boxes will be more your style or maybe thing you’d like to try, but would probably never buy.
C loves how excited I get when I get new box.  It’s so fun to make new outfits!
Anyways….I thought I’d share what I got in my second and third box this month.
Box #2

At first I thought the yellow top was pretty awesome because its not really a color I wear. When I put it on though, the color was terrible on my olive skin tone. It looked almost green-ish.  I was bummed, but wore it out on date night anyways! I didn't end up wearing this bracelt.  It was too matchy-matchy with everything else they sent and it felt a little circus-y to me.  I am kind of boring in the jewelry area.

The blue skirt was WAY too tight.  I couldn't even get it past my thighs.  My co-worker (who is teeny tiny) tried it on because she thought she might want to buy it but it was even too tight on her!  Bad sizing on that one. I LOVED the necklace!  It was so different from what I normally wear, but not too far out of the box for me.  I may be shopping for necklaces like this in the future!

This was my favorite item from the box. It was a racer back chiffon maxi dress.  I wore it several times before I shipped it back!

Box #3

I thought this bracelet was really cute.  It's not too big and clunky, but still fun.  I have a hard time wearing bracelets at work since I sit at a computer all day, but I did get to wear this for a little while.  This skirt was fun!  You can't actually tell in the picture but it was a lot brighter blue.  It was pretty sheer but had shorts underneath that matched.  It was a bit bold for me, but I took a chance and wore it out one night!

I actually wore these two together to work!  The picture is actually the back of the shirt, its just plain on the front. The zipper part had a black sheer fabric underneath (all the way to the top) so you could wear it a few different ways.  I really liked this necklace when I pulled it out of the package, but I wasn't in love with it on.  It just fell on my neckline wrong.  I'm sure it would look great on someone else!

Obviously once again my favorite piece was a maxi dress!  I wasn't able to get the best picture of it, but you get the point. It was an ombre kind of look that turns into an even deeper purple on the very bottom.  Such pretty colors together! The center elastic was a tad tight, otherwise I would have bought this one!

See how amazing it is?!?!  What are you waiting for?  Go sign up!!  Let me know if you do, I'd love to see what you get in your boxes!

The Coolest Thing I've Ever Heard Of, Seriously + Fashion?

Ok first off all I have to point out that I am DEFINITELY not a fashion blogger.  You got that?  I like to think I am keeping up with things, but really I am all about comfort and affordability, which usually doesn't equal fashion forward.

Now that we've gottent that out of the way.....have you guys heard of Le Tote?!?!

It's seriously the most amazing thing I've ever heard of. For reals. Especially for the fashion challenged AND beauty box addicts like me.

What it is:  For $49 a month Le Tote sends you a box that includes 3 clothing items and 2 pieces of jewelry.  You wear these as much as you want and then send them back using a prepaid envelope and then they send you another box!

I signed up when I was on vacation (those pictures are coming soon, I swear) and when I got back to work the following monday my box was waiting on my desk for me!

This is what was inside:

This peach chiffon top looked a little big, but felt good once I had it on.  I wore it to work with some long pearl strands.

This was my least favorite of the bunch.  It looks gorgeous on the hanger, but I had a hard time actually wearing it.  It's too see-through to wear without something underneath (at least for my taste) and the key hole back paired with the racer back shape made it hard to wear something under without it being too noticable.  I finally gave up and put a black racerback thin striped tank underneath and just let it show though the key hole. Oh well.  I wore this with the silver necklace as well.

This skirt looks pretty boring on the hanger, but it was really cute on.  It was high waisted and a perfect fit as it wasn't too tight at all.  The length was fun too.  If you want to see how I wore it....keep reading!

I loved this necklace!  It was a bit heavy and made some noise when I moved, but I wore it several times in the three days I had it!

I loved these earrings!  They are so not something I would wear, but they looked so good when I wore them that I actually considered keeping/buying them!

Ok guys....you ready for my first ever outfit post?!? I really wasn't planning on showing this picture so its definitely not good quality. I was just going to send the picture to a few friends. Also, now you can see what my bedroom looks like!

For this outfit I used the blue skirt above and paired it with a grey shirt from Express that I've had for years.  I used the silver necklace from above too!

Le Tote is really the coolest thing I've seen in awhile. I can't wait to see what future boxes bring.  I get so excited when I talk to C about all of the outfits I am creating.  He loves seeing how happy I am and how much fun I am having with it.  It my opinion it is TOTALLY worth the money!  C is even jealous they don't have this for men.  Maybe someday the will my love!

(I'm not getting compensated or anything for this review, I just had to share because its so freakin amazing!)
