Wedding Day - Gettin' Pretty

Ok guys, I know I have been way slacking in this, but I FINALLY have all of our wedding pictures!!

This week I thought I'd show you how our day started!  I got all of my bridesmaids (and my momma) the same matching, comfy dress for us to wear while getting ready.  I got them at H & M for the low price of $10 and I think they looked adorable!  I love how all of the pictures are so cohesive. I thought the dresses would be perfect for them to use another time too which made them a double bonus gift.

We spent the morning getting ready at the only hotel in Florence,AZ which was about a mile from the venue.  There is seriously nothing else in Florence. Not even a Walgreens. Or Starbucks.  Oh man.

The makeup artist was supposed to take an hour per girl, but he was pretty much a rock star and finished everyone really quickly. So we just hung around all afternoon being bored. Really though, the morning of my wedding, I was soooo stinkin bored!  I mean, I'm grateful that we definitely weren't rushed, but man, there was nothing to do.  Except watch football, which I totally did!  After this we headed over to the venue around 3pm, I'll show you those pics next week!

Without further ado....here are some pics of us girls getting ready on my wedding day!!!
(The only shot you'll ever probably see of me with no makeup, my hair a wavy mess AND no bangs - the trifecta!)

Goofing off with my extensions (used for fullness, not length)

Best Bachelorette Weekend Ever....Seriously Though

I am headed to Cleveland tomorrow morning, so first I have to say, Go Rattlers!!!  I can't believe C and his team have made it to the Arena Bowl yet again.  The game will be broadcast on Saturday night (8pm Eastern) if anyone wants to check it out.  It should be a REALLY good game!

Anywho....this past weekend was my Bachelorette party! We planned on going to Sedona (Northern Arizona) to spend the weekend doing wine tastings.  I was told to bring white flip flops, a white cross body purse and a cute white dress for going out.  We left friday afternoon after lunch.

Two of the girls picked me up and we all piled in her small SUV and left to pick up the fourth girl. One other would be meeting us there.  When we got to her house, they gave me a cute little gift bag with a poem.  Also inside were these:

Yep, they tricked me.  We weren't going wine tasting at all.....we were going to Disneyland!

I honestly couldn't believe it...though now it made more sense as to why we were leaving so early!

When we arrived at the hotel, the room was decorated by the fifth girl, my best friend, who lives in San Diego.  It was soooooo adorable!  She had little gift bags for each girl set up as well as snack packs for the park the next day.

That's the bridesmaid who couldn't make it :)
In my gift bag, I found a cute little backpack for the park, a "night of" kit for going out dancing and a "day after" kit for any hangover symptoms before we hit the park, a little white veil to wear out that night and white leggings.  Why white leggings you ask?  I asked the same question.

It was because not only were we going to Disneyland, we were all going to be sporting the cutest tutu's ever while at the park! Ahhhh!!!!  I'm pretty sure this Bachelorette party couldn't have been more right on and fit for me.

"Booping" everyone on the head while we got ready with my fancy wand!

That night we headed out to the only club around, the girls in black and me in white (with my new mini veil).  It lasted about a whopping two hours before we all decided we were bored and headed back to the hotel to rest up for Disney the next day.  Yeah, I am definitely not the partying type!

After the heat and stupid smoke/dry ice machine got us in the club...FLAT hair!
This is 100% posed and probably the most rebellious/inappropriate thing we did the whole trip
Disney was absolutely awesome.  People loved our outfits and it was so fun to get congratulations from complete strangers.  There were even a couple of people that stopped us to take a picture so they could show someone else back home!

Screaming bloody murder (not faking it) while they point out I'm getting married....I dislike steep drops!
Hearts and showing off my ring :)
Cutest ever!

Finally leaving the park at the end of the day....dead tired!
Before
After
We stayed at the park until it closed and then dropped into bed when we got back.  The next day we got up early (for me) and headed back to Phoenix.

It was a short but incredible weekend, one that I will never forget!  I am so grateful that my friends really know me and planned something that I would love!  I can't tell you how glad I am that I didn't have any of the "traditional" bachelorette party items!

Next up......my wedding!  18 days and counting!!  Eeeek!!!

Bridal Shower Time!

A couple of weekends ago my bridesmaids threw a bridal shower for me!

I honestly was a little nervous for this. I haven’t had a party thrown for me since I was 8 and I was really dreading opening presents in front of everyone.  I know that’s probably odd, but I just really don’t like attention on me.

I was also really nervous that no one would show up except for my bridesmaids and my mom.  Boy was I wrong, only a few girls of my list of 20+ weren’t able to make it! I know, weird issue again, but its just how I think sometimes!

The week before the shower, my mom and I went shopping for a dress for me to wear.  I knew I wanted something white, but that’s all I had in mind.  We searched for hours and I just didn’t find anything I liked. On the way out of our last store we walked by the register and I glanced at a dress I saw that was hanging there on hold.  It was beautiful and so me.  I asked the woman and she said it was no longer on hold because it was past the time period.  It was the only one in the store….and it fit perfectly! It was a long flowy white chiffon dress and the top was very similar to my wedding dress!  It was a little fancy for the shower, but I didn’t care, I loved it!

With my momma in my beautiful new dress!
Anywho, my girls did a great job! The piggybacked on the “Love Birds” theme of the wedding but used pretty pastel yellows, pinks and teals. It was really beautiful!
My bridesmaids!
Sitting down to open presents while everyone stared at me wasn’t too terrible….but I’m not sure I ever looked up or looked anyone in the eye!  I just kept doing my thing and saying thank you a million times!

I seriously can’t wait to marry C and having a bridal shower made it that much more real!

Only 60 more days to go….I can’t believe it!
