Week 25

What's Going on in There?
This week he is the size of a califlower! He is about 13.5 inches and probably about a pound a half.  I also read my uterus is the size of a soccer ball these days. Holy cow, that’s huge! Little man is gaining a sense of gravity these days so he can now tell which way is up or down. He’s also really starting to gain some fat. Grow little man, grow!

Maternity Clothes?
Yep!  One of my mom’s clients just gave me a huge trash bag of her old maternity clothes from fancy places like a A Pea in the Pod, so I am quite excited. It’s like a whole new wardrobe!
Weight?
Broke the 160 mark yesterday….boo. Sitting around 17 pounds gained total.  I do have to say, and this will sound odd, I like the way in which my body has gained weight.  I’d say maybe each week or two, the scale jumps 2 or so pounds in one day which makes me quite sad. The next day though, I am back down to where I was and I gradually move up to those two pounds again within the next week.  It’s like my body prepares me for what’s to come with the number on the scale and then gives me time to get used to that so it doesn’t feel so painful when it’s for real!  This has probably happened at least 4-5 times, which is kind of weird.
Stretch Marks?
Nope

Movement?
Oh my goodness yes.  Little man is moving like crazy these days.  I read the next three weeks is when I will feel his movements the most since he is getting bigger plus he still has some room to wiggle a lot!
Food Cravings?
Not really….just you know….ice cream. Everyday.
Anything Making you Queasy or Sick?
Not at all, yay!

What I Miss?
Nothing really this week!

Nausea/Vomiting?
Nope.
Symptoms?
My belly is starting to itch which is no fun.  Wearing maternity pants up and over it is really making the problem worse!
Labor Signs?
Not at all

Gender?
Bouncing baby boy!
Belly Button In or Out?
You guys, my belly button is officially flat.  It’s soooo weird.  I honestly didn’t think this would happen, especially this quick! Sometimes it even sticks out a bit, depending on how I am sitting/standing.
Wedding Rings On or Off?
On!  I can still twirl them pretty easily….hoping it stays that way!
Sleep?
I’ve had a bit of insomnia this week which really hasn’t been fun. I wake up in the middle of the night to pee….then lay there for what seems like hours trying to fall back asleep. Of course, right as I do, my alarm goes off. No Bueno.  I’m quite proud of myself from the Vegas trip though, after driving 5 hours we arrived there around 10pm on Friday night.  I stayed awake until 4am!  I have no clue how I did that.  I even woke up the next morning an hour before our alarm at 8:30 which is just crazy.  I paid for it a bit this week though…

What I'm Looking Forward To?
I think C and I are going to do the 3D ultrasound in a few weeks (around 28 weeks).  I can’t wait for that!  I want to see even more what little man looks like!  C thinks ultrasounds are creepy which is so weird to me, I think they are incredible!  Since he loves me though, he’s willing to go with me and even part with the money to get it done :)

The dark clouds were starting to show up....it rained more than it has in AZ in many many years that night.

Trying to light the memorial candle in honor of C's parents...took a few tries

After he put the ring on my finger :)

Sealing the deal!!

Week 24

What's Going on in There?
This week he is the size of a small cantaloupe! Man, seems like just yesterday he was inches big.  I love it! This week his hair is beginning to finally get some pigment and he is gaining a bit of fat, so his skin is becoming a bit more opaque.  Up until now, he skin has basically been see-through. Ew weird!

Maternity Clothes?
Completely.  It really want to get to Ross to see if I can find anymore cheap dresses.  I found a few for less than $10 and they have been really comfortable.  I think they will be imperative as it starts getting warmer here in AZ!
Weight?
This is moving up faster than I’d like…around 16 pounds
Stretch Marks?
None that I’ve seen

Movement?
Definitely!  This week it seems to be more rolling and waves rather than actual kicks and punches.  It is a really weird sensation!
Food Cravings?
You guys, I have a confession.  I’ve eaten McDonald’s nuggets and French fries at least one a week for quite a while now.  So yeah.  Baby really likes it!
Anything Making you Queasy or Sick?
Nope!

What I Miss?
Rolling over easily in bed!
Nausea/Vomiting?
None, phew
Symptoms?
Ugh, I am back to getting up to pee at least once in the middle of the night. It was great while it lasted!
Labor Signs?
Not at all
Gender?
Mustaches and muscles….a boy!
Belly Button In or Out?
So close to being flat!
Wedding Rings On or Off?
Still on a swirling around my finger like normal!  Although, I don’t wear them to bed. I’m not sure if that makes a difference or not.
Sleep?
Hasn’t been the best this week.  As I mentioned I am backing to waking up to pee in the middle of the night.  The problem is, its taken me a LONG time to fall back asleep after that this week. So I’m exhausted.
 What I'm Looking Forward To?

C and I are taking a mini trip for my birthday/babymoon to Vegas!  I am so excited! I know it sounds like the least likely place a pregnant woman would want to go, but I just want to see shows and eat at buffets!  We bought tickets for the Beatles Love Cirque de Soleil show, which I have been wanting to see for probably ten years. I can’t wait!
(I promise I will try to get a photo up this weekend!)

Wedding Day - First Look

I finally have some more wedding photos for you!

We chose to do a first look for our wedding, which I am happy with.  At first I was adamant on the first time he saw me on our wedding day being the moment I walked down that aisle.  I didn't want it any other way.  But over time after hearing input from friends and our photographer, I changed my view.

First, our portraits with the group and family were able to be done before the ceremony which saved us a TON of time after the ceremony.  C and I took our shots together after the ceremony and we were still probably gone an hour.  Had we needed to take group and family shots, it would have likely taken another hour.

Also, one of my bridesmaids E pointed out how amazing it would be to be able to actually give him a hug and a kiss after that special moment.  We wouldn't have to wait through the entire ceremony for that.  It was a great feeling to actually be able to talk about our feelings and express our love in a private conversation beforehand.

Finally?  Hello makeup reapplication!  I was able to go inside and fix everything up after the tears :)

Honestly this didn't change how I felt going down the aisle either.  There are photos of both of us with the oddest faces because we are just trying to breath and hold it all together.  Walking down the aisle for real was still VERY special, regardless of the fact that he had already seen how I look!  It was still exciting too, because though he had seen me, no else had!

Ok, that's my two cents on First Looks. Now on to the photos!

He was showing off his outfit :)

I got deodorant all over him...I was trying to get it off!

As I really wanted the First Look to be a private moment between C and I, I asked everyone in the Bridal cottage (which was where we did the photos) to please give us our privacy.  I just really didn't want everyone staring at us!  The girls gave us our privacy....for a few minutes.  Then they all peeked!  I thought these pics were cute. I love the smile on my mommas face!

Next up, the ceremony!
